Restore MetaClearX Pro

  1. Open MetaClearX and go to Settings.
  2. Tap Restore Purchases.
  3. Make sure you're signed in with the Apple ID or Google account you used to buy Pro.

Photo access

Picking files doesn't need full access to your gallery. To save cleaned copies, MetaClearX asks for permission to add photos. You can change this in your phone's settings: on iPhone under Privacy & Security, Photos; on Android under Apps, MetaClearX, Permissions.

Notifications

Reminders and news are both optional. Turn each one on or off in MetaClearX Settings. To block all notifications from MetaClearX, use your phone's notification settings.

Ad privacy choices

Change your ad consent at any time in MetaClearX Settings, Privacy Choices. On iPhone you can also turn off tracking under Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's privacy or Google settings.

Language and theme

MetaClearX follows your phone's language and appearance. You can choose English, Türkçe, Español or Deutsch and light or dark mode in Settings.

Report a problem

Tell us your phone model, operating system version, app version and the file format you used. A screenshot of the error helps a lot.

Troubleshooting

Cleaned files are saved as new items in your photo gallery, usually at the top of your most recent photos. Make sure MetaClearX is allowed to add photos in your phone's settings.

MetaClearX supports JPEG, HEIC, HEIF, PNG, WebP, MOV, MP4 and M4V. RAW and ProRAW files and less common formats such as GIF or AVI are not supported yet.

Go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the Apple ID or Google account you used for the purchase. If it still doesn't work, contact us with the date of purchase.

Purchases are handled by the store you bought from. For the App Store, request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play, use your order history in Google Play or Google's refund request page.

This is expected in the current version. On iPhone, MetaClearX cleans the still image of a Live Photo and saves it as a regular photo.

No. Some AI tools hide a watermark in the pixels of the image. That is not metadata, so MetaClearX doesn't remove it.

Open MetaClearX Settings and turn off reminders, news or both. You can also block all notifications from MetaClearX in your phone's settings.

MetaClearX has no accounts and doesn't store your photos on any server. Deleting the app removes all settings stored on your phone. For data held by Google for ads or crash reports, see our privacy policy or contact us.
